Dagny Paul

Dagny Paul began her career in criminal defense as an investigative intern at Orleans Public Defenders in 2018. After she completed her internship at OPD, Dagny briefly performed freelance legal investigation for private defense attorneys in the New Orleans area before joining the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center as a mitigation specialist in 2019. In May of 2022, Dagny moved her family to Austin, Texas to work as a mitigation specialist at the Office of Capital and Forensic Writs. Before she entered the field of criminal defense investigation, Dagny taught secondary English in public schools in Ohio and Louisiana and spent a number of years tending bar, waiting tables, and writing short stories.
