Phong Le
Phong Le is a Mitigation Specialist at OCFW. Phong has worked with the Office of Capital and Forensic Writs in various roles: as an intern, paralegal, and mitigation specialist fellow.
Background
Phong joined OCFW in 2023. Phong is a Dean's Distinguished Graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in the fields of African and African Diaspora Studies: Race, Indigeneity, and Migration; Sociology, and Woman and Gender Studies. Prior to joining the team at OCFW, Phong worked as an undergraduate researcher with GYNX, Black Queer reproductive justice lab at the University of Texas, conducting reproductive health literature reviews that examined the sate of Black Queer reproductive health. Phong previously interned for OCFW and worked as a full-time paralegal for two years. They are excited to extend their role now as a Mitigation Specialist Fellow. Phong is fluent in Vietnamese.
