Phong Le joined the OCFW as a paralegal in 2023. Phong is a Dean's Distinguished Graduate from the the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in the fields of African and African Diaspora Studies: Race, Indigeneity, and Migration; Sociology, and Woman and Gender Studies.
Background
Phong Le joined the OCFW as a paralegal in 2023. Phong is a Dean's Distinguished Graduate from the the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in the fields of African and African Diaspora Studies: Race, Indigeneity, and Migration; Sociology, and Woman and Gender Studies. Phong is fluent in Vietnamese. Prior to joining the team at OCFW, they worked as an undergraduate researcher with GYNX, a Black Queer reproductive justice lab, conducting literature reviews that examined the state of Black Queer reproductive health. Additionally, as a McNair Scholar, they completed a research project that examined the discourses of crisis that circulate in Black Trans Women's digital crowdfunding campaigns. Phong had previously interned for OCFW and is excited to extend their role now as a Paralegal.
