
Vale McCaffrey
Vale is a Paralegal at the OCFW. As a Paralegal, she provides administrative and investigative support to attorneys and mitigation specialists. Prior to joining OCFW, Vale worked in Massachusetts’ correctional institutions, leading peace and conflict dialogue, as well as aiding and assisting in New York City's Alternative to Incarceration Court.
Background
Vale McCaffrey is a paralegal with the OCFW. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Amherst College, majoring in American Studies and Art with a concentration in criminal justice. Prior to joining OCFW, Vale worked in Massachusetts’ correctional institutions, leading peace and conflict dialogue, as well as aiding and assisting in an alternative to incarceration court in New York. As an honors thesis student, she conducted research into the rural prison boom of the 1990s. All while continuing to further her artistic practice as she graduated with a collection of large-scale artworks that appeared in numerous art shows. In 2025, upon graduation, she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship.
