Willis Wiest
Willis Wiest is a Mitigation Specialist of OCFW. Prior to joining the OCFW as a Mitigation Fellow in 2024, Willis interned with the UT Law school's Capital Punishment Clinic working with clients on Texas death row.
Background
Born and raised in Central Texas, Willis attended University of Texas at Austin studying Human Dimensions of Organization and Sociology with a focus on Social Inequality, Health and Policy. Prior to joining the OCFW as a Mitigation Fellow in 2024, Willis interned with the UT Law school's Capital Punishment Clinic working with clients on Texas death row. His previous experience includes work as a judicial intern in the Travis County Misdemeanor Mental Health Diversion Court, and as a researcher on criminal trespass and incompetency to stand trial.
