Lauryn Renee Coleman

Lauryn is a post-conviction attorney at OCFW. Prior to joining the office, she reviewed cases in Travis County for the use of invalid scientific testing methods and unreliable expert testimony. 

Background

Prior to joining OCFW, Lauryn worked for the Conviction Integrity Unit of the Travis County District Attorney's Office reviewing convictions that were based on potentially invalid scientific testing methods. Prior to law school, Lauryn worked as a paralegal in the Conviction Integrity Unit of the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office where she assisted in the exoneration of a man from death row. As a law student, Lauryn served as the Communications Director of the Virginia Law in Prisons Project, interned with the Defender Association of Philadelphia working with juvenile lifers and participated in the Innocence Clinic at the University of Virginia School of Law.
