The Office of Capital Writs provides support to the state and municipal courts of Texas and supports and maintains the Texas Judiciary On-line web site. This web site is for the dissemination of judicial information to the courts, their constituents, and the general public.

The Office of Capital Writs does not collect any personally identifiable information, such as names, addresses, phone numbers or e-mail addresses as the user navigates through this site.

General information from server logs is used to track the number of hits to site pages, the host sending the request, and errors that may interfere with commerce or site availability. This information is used solely for evaluating and improving website content and design.

OCW monitors network traffic to ensure site security and availability. Unauthorized attempts to upload information, change information on this site, or otherwise damage the site are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under Texas Penal Code Chapters 33 (Computer Crimes) or 33A (Telecommunications Crimes).
